		*Who is thy Righteousness?*

Righteousness is the characteristics or quality of: being exempt from sin or incapable of sinning, consequence of being honest or being honorable, concern with the distinction between good and evil or right or wrong, being just or fair and deserving honor or respect.

As we take a look at the meaning and or definition of what Righteousness means, we want to keep an open mind as we continual through out this lesson. As we know, God ways are not our ways, His thoughts are not like our thoughts, so when we read the word of God we need to ask God for understanding, interpretation and direction through the Spirit.

2 Corinthians 5:21	For God hath made Jesus Christ to be sin for us (God calls flesh sin), who knew no sin (Jesus was conceive by the Holy Spirit not by flesh-man and woman); that we might be made the righteousness of God in Jesus Christ.

By this statement we know that the man (any person) that trust in Jesus Christ becomes the righteousness of God in him. The Holy Spirit is the righteous one in us. (John 16:7-8) (7) Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you (to our advantage) that I go away, for if I go not away, the Comforter (Holy Spirit, helper) will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. (8) And when he (Holy Spirit) is come, he will reprove (convict) the world (flesh) (flesh is of the world) of sin, and of righteousness (teach you what is right), and of judgment (the prince of this world is judged):

Roman 3:20	Therefore by the deeds of the law (ten written commandments authored by God and given to Moses) there shall no flesh (man) be justified (clear of all guilt) in his sight:

We as Christians should walk in the Spirit (seek after righteousness) and not of the flesh (sin). We have all sin and come short of the Glory of God because we are born of the flesh. But because of our trust and faith in Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit that dwells in us makes us righteous in God sight. God does not look at the flesh but the spirit that dwells in us. This is why Paul said: (Romans 12:1-2) (1) I BESEECH (beg) you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. (2) And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove (be a witness to) what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Matthews 6:33	But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness (Jesus Christ); and all these things shall be added unto you.

Matthews 4:19	And Jesus said unto them, Follow (seek) me, and I will make you fishers of men.

Once we have made up our minds to follow Jesus Christ and to be counted as Righteousness: WE MUST:

1) Believe: John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son (Jesus Christ), that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (17) For God sent not his Son (Jesus Christ) into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

2) Act 2:38 Repent (to feel sorrowful in admitting that Jesus Christ is Lord and you need him in your life), and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ (Father, Son and Holy Ghost (Spirit), and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost (the power to do right, the power to be raised from the dead, the righteous one).

3) Obey: Mark 12:30-31 AND THOU SHALT (must) LOVE THE LORD THY GOD WITH ALL THY HEART, AND WITH ALL THY SOUL, AND WITH ALL THY MIND, AND WITH ALL THY STRENGTH: and the second is like unto you, THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOR (everyone, regardless of their faults, righteous ones do not judge) AS THYSELF.

Conclusion:	Now that you have receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you are no longer bound.
	Romans 8:1-11 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit. 2) For the law of the the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. 3) For what the law could not do, in that it was week through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: 4) That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 5) For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6) For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7) Because the carnal mind is enmity (at war) against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8) So then they that are in the flesh (obey their human nature) cannot please God, 9) But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 10) And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11) But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by the Spirit that dwelleth in you.

Prayer:	Abba, Father, who are in Heaven, I thank you for the insight you have given me. Thank you God for the Holy Spirit that dwell within me, teaching and guiding me in all truth. Let your will be done in my life that I might be a Witness for your Glory, a Servant unto your people and that your Light will shine through me in this world. Without you Lord I will fail. I pray that for each and everyone that read this lesson have an open mind in the flesh and in their Spirits that they may see what is good and true. I pray this request in Jesus Name, Amen.
